I'm finally getting around to writing about our family vacation to Red River, New Mexico (a whole month later, but who's counting?). We went with my entire family - Mom & Dad, my brother Richard, his wife Mikey (expecting in March!)& 2 year old Cami, brother Zach, his wife Racheal, their two boys Tyler (4) and Blake (2), my sister Holly & her husband Ben, and our little family! It was a wild week, but we had lots of fun & made great memories! We spent most of our time fishing for trout at the kids pond right outside our condo and exploring the river on the other side! I think on one day we caught over 50 fish combined (well within the legal limit for a group our size :)!). The kids had lots of fun catching the fish, and most of the moms & dads did too! I think I might have even caught one or two, but I mostly spent my time chasing Addie around. Her favorite things to do were climbing the stairs of all the condos around us and trying to walk directly into whatever body of water was closest! It was exhausting, but she had a blast. Emma actually became quite a good little fisherwoman. She even learned to cast her little Barbie pole all by herself! She had a great time wrestling with her cousins, uncles & Papa. We celebrated her 4th birthday while we were there & she had a great time being the center of attention. We actually managed to get a group shot of everyone (amazing - it was in the rain and with a timer!), but somehow never got a shot of my little family all together. We took a hike, went on an extreme jeep trail through the mountains, visited Taos & Santa Fe, and explored Red River. Overall, what a wonderful trip! We loved being with our kids away from our busy world and getting to introduce them to unspoiled nature. I grew up going to the mountains, and it was really a blessing to get to do that together as a family. I hope it won't be long until we go back! God was good & answered many prayers along the way, so thank you all of you who lifted us up!

I love the pictures - you guys have such cute daughters.

I went to Red River a lot in high school, so it was cool to see those pics. In the last one, did you stay at the Ponderosa? If so - that's where I stayed every time.

It looks like a really happy family.
