I I
am way behind on my blogging! It seems for months not much has been happening around here and suddenly we have been super busy. This post is dedicated to Emma's 3rd birthday - September 23. Since then we have spent a wonderful week in Houston with my mom & sister and a fantastic weekend in Austin with Heather & Summer & their families. More to come on those later!

I won't write much on the birthday - I'm planning to post a bunch of photos that say it all! We had a princess party for a few of Emma's young girlfriends, planning to simplify with all we have going on these days. The rain complicated things a bit, but the girls still had a blast dressing up and decorating tiaras and wands with glitter & jewels (by the way for those of you thinking of doing this same thing, be prepared to still find glitter a month later :). Still so worth it!). We ended up having a surprise visit from my two sweet nephews, Tyler & Blake who live in Houston - they weren't too sure about all the girly stuff, but I think they had a good time anyway! Highlights of the day - how much fun Emma had putting on her "Snow White" dress & getting her hair rolled by her Aunt Holly, truly feeling & looking like a little princess; Hayley's adorable pink dress that refused to stay on her shoulders; Ava's obsession with shoes & quest to steal every pair she could get her hands on (see photo); seeing my littlest princess in a tutu :); my mom's precious friend Karen coming over from her sister's house to play with the little boys while we did girly things; seeing all the little girls revel in all things girly!

We had a family dinner that evening to celebrate as well & had a great time hanging out with Meme & Pawpaw, Uncle Clay & Aunt Jamie & their girls - Glory, Grace & Gillie.

Its so hard to believe she's 3. I know she's still young, but her face is losing some of its chubbiness and she can just about do or say anything she pleases. She is growing up!
